Waldorf observes St. Martin’s Market

The Waldorf School Windhoek invites the public to its traditional St. Martin’s Market to be held on 18 November in Avis along Andries de Wet Street. Every year in November Waldorf Schools all around the world celebrate St. Martin’s Day to remember the holy man who shared his coat with a beggar: a day which is a symbol for helping people in need. The day’s programme offers games and plays from children for children such as a puppet show, sailing ships, candle making, felting, cake decorating and a special children’s shop. Adults can participate by partaking to the coffee and cakes, fruit sosaties, ice-cream, waffles, goulash soup, and many other delicacies.
