The Cancer Association of Namibia has started with cancer awareness campaigns. This week CAN joins the rest of the world in commemorating World Cancer Day on 4 February. The association is encouraging people to quit smoking, be active, eat healthy, protect the skin and drink moderately. “By changing your lifestyle, one can prevent 30 to 40% of all cancers,” said CAN CEO, Reinette Koegelenberg. The day will be commemorated under the theme ‘Change your lifestyle because cancer can be prevented’.
