| “Kobi” requests High Court to help renew work permit |

Jacob “Kobi” Alexander this week filed an urgent application with the High Court asking the court to order the Ministry of Home Affairs to renew his work permit, which expires on 31 August.
According to documents filed in the High Court, a hearing is scheduled for 25 September. Alexander and and his family applied for new permits on June 27. He has asked the court to order that he and his family may lawfully stay, work and attend school in Namibia. Alexander said in the court documents that he has invested more than N$70 million in the country since his arrival two years ago. |
