A modelling agency that gives the commercial advertising industry access to models is making headway in Windhoek.
Chamberlain saw the need for a professionally-run modelling agency that caters for the commercial advertising industry, and started the A-Models casting agency in March this year. She says the A Models casting agency offers the industry a kaleidoscope of models encompassing all races, age groups and talents and was launched at a better time to the growing commercial advertising sector. The agency aims to remove the burden models go through to obtain regular work by ensuring constant exposure to potential clients and positions the models on a high longevity agenda, payment and reward is aligned with international and locally accepted labour practices with additional benefits such as professional training. A Models offers the ideal avenue for aspiring models by giving them the opportunity to showcase their talents to the Namibian market and generate a steady income from professional modelling. Chamberlain says, “For the model it’s about getting onto the professional platform with the right kind of exposure. For Namibia it is about building up and creating an environment that aligns us with the professional casting industry. With smart partnerships and determination we are sure to see all the hidden talent that Namibia has to offer to us and to the world.” She says the agency provides the commercial advertising industry with models for advertising campaigns, billboards and outdoor advertising, branding, launches, magazines, meet-and-greet occasions, product promotions, radio productions, television commercials and video and movie shoot extras. |
