Current chairperson, Maria Dax APR, said: “PRISA Namibia strives to assist the communication and related professionals in the industry to make a positive contribution to all economic activity through international standards of practice.”
The committee aims to expand on the current good standing of PRISA in Namibia with the business community by means of several significant and applicable strategic events.  Champions of Commerce should understand that Strategic Public Relations and Corporate Communication is a strategic management tool realising maximum return on investment.
International trends are already indicating that communication practitioners will face legislation in the near future and PRISA will ensure that the industry will be geared for such a move.
Members can look forward to a forum where they can contribute to their industry to maintain their professionalism through a continual professional development program.  The program will reward members for previous communication activities, speaking engagements, development opportunities and workshops with the recognition, support and guidance of PRISA Namibia.
Several Namibian communication practitioners will be attending the upcoming global PR jubilee conference to be held from 13 to 16 May in Cape Town with topics focusing on environmental issues, crisis communication, government lobbying and global economical trends, to be discussed by industry leaders.
