| What junk? |

Dear Sir,
Your
newspaper has shown worthy expansion over the years. The aim would seem to
offer a panorama of what there is on offer in several fields. To this end you
have added a review of the wine and dine sector in the capital.
In a very
recent issue, your correspondent visited the merry icon, Joe’s Beerhouse.
Rather surprisingly, the artefacts on display received the accolade of “junk”.
In this
day and age, there are a growing number of people, not only tourists, who
appreciate artefacts fashioned in the pre-plastic era. More often than not such
artefacts add character to a structure.
Joe’s
Beerhouse is a dedicated tourist attraction and a “must” on any traveller’s
itinerary.
Years
ahead, Joe’s and its fascinating collection of artefacts may approach National
Monument status. Southern Africa has numerous places where history has been
written and which, thereby, have attractions which draw tourists. Joe’s
Beerhouse and its assortment of yesteryear artefacts is surely one of those,
that is apart from the beer and solid food.
Well-done
Joe! Keep collecting those bits and pieces which others may donate or, perhaps
quietly dispatch to you for safekeeping!
