Shilongo said the Walvis Bay-born van Jaarsveld is no stranger to NBL. He has served as NBL’s Group Product Development Manager and was also the Managing Director for Namibia Dairies. Bruce Kidner, the newly appointed Head of Finance at NB is the interim MD until Van Jaarsveld’s appointment takes effect in August.
The NBL’s Chairman, Sven Thieme, said Van Jaarsveld turned Namibia Dairies from a loss maker into a company that has exceeded its financial targets in one of the most challenging industries.
Thieme is confident that Van Jaarsveld will lead NBL with the same diligence and determination in its endeavour to become a world class company and that he will continue contributing to the success of the entire Ohlthaver and List Group.
