Gifted entertainer Lazarus Jacobs is also a talented businessman but unusually subdued when in the presence of one of his popular targets, former President Sam Nujoma. Jacobs has made major strides in growing his business group under the Paragon label. This week, former President Nujoma and minister on the rebound, Hage Geingob, were the heavyweights when Paragon officially opened its new duty-free shop at the Hosea Kutako International Airport. "Today we are proudly involved in five major industries including Media, Marketing, Hospitality, Financial Services and Real Estate Investment. The duty free shop represents yet another area we will tackle with the same level of professionalism and attention to detail," said Jacobs later in a statement. Jacobs' different tune when in the presence of a giant was first noticed some two months ago when he was the master of ceremonies at an event where the former president also officiated. The duty-free shop at Hosea Kutako was started eight years ago by former Businesswoman of the Year, Sara Elago. At that point it was also opened by the former president, then still in office.
