The Managing Director of the Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL), Ciaran Duffy, is set to step down from his post at the end of July due to ill health, the company said this week.
Duffy has held the position since October last year.

Bruce Kidner, Head of Finance at NBL, will assume Duffy’s responsibilities in an acting role until a successor has been appointed, the company said in an email statement. Duffy will remain a non-executive director on the board.
The brewery is a member of the Ohlthaver & List Group.
NBL’s Chairman Sven Thieme said: “Ciaran was instrumental in designing and committing NBL to huge plans with the aim to bring NBL closer to becoming a world class company. Under his leadership we continued to grow our sales volumes and revenues while maintaining the lower cost base. I appreciate his many contributions and would like to thank him sincerely while wishing him all the best and good health.”
