DBMN Managing Director Otto Shikongo and DBMN MUN Branch Chairman Rodney Klim shake hands on the new agreement. They are joined by the negotiation teams from the company and the MUN.

In terms of this two-year wage agreement, the minimum rates of pay for employees within the Bargaining Unit will be increased by 8% across the board of which 20% is a merit-based performance portion, in terms of the existing Performance Appraisal Agreement between the parties.
The wage agreement covers the period 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2009.
At the signing ceremony on this week, Managing Director of De Beers Marine Namibia Otto Shikongo and Chairman of the MUN Branch, Rodney Klim, congratulated the two negotiating teams for their mature approach to the negotiations and for concluding the Agreement in a short time.
