A light Cessna 210 single engine aircraft crashed in Windhoek's southern industrial area last Friday. Five people were injured in the accident, police said. Police said the plane, which took off from Eros Airport, was en route to a lodge near the Etosha National Park.

The pilot is said to have sent a distress call to the airport tower that he was losing power and decided to find a place where he could land the plane.
On board the plane were two Americans, two French nationals and the Namibian pilot.
The plane is owned by Scenic Tours.
The accident is the second this year involving a small plane. In January, five Israeli businessmen and a Namibian pilot died when a plane belonging to Atlantic Aviation crashed into a house in Olympia.
