The Council of the Law Society of Namibia recently re-appointed Claus Hinrichsen, Habo Gerdes and Adv. Vekuii Rukoro to the board of control of the Legal Practitioners’ Fidelity Fund. Bodenstein, the president of the LSN, was appointed the ex-officio member, while the society’s vice-President, Adv Esi Schimming-Chase, is the alternate member. The appointments are in line with Section 56 of the Legal Practitioners Act, Act 15 of 1995, which stipulates the appointment of the chairperson of the LSN and three legal practitioners –two of whom who are not members of the council – to the board. Seen after their appointment are Hinrichsen, Gerdes, Rukoro, Bodenstein and Schimming-Chase.
