The next stop in the Loerie Awards Travelling Exhibition is Namibia. The exhibition, sponsored by the SABC, will display the best advertising, communication and design for 2007, at DV8 Saatchi & Saatchi offices on 24 and 25 April from 17h00 to 22h00.

“Living by its values of conversations and partnerships, restoring human dignity and building a common future, the SABC is the media sponsor of the most prestigious brand communication awards on the African continent,” says Jerry Mpufane, Group Marketing Director, SABC.
“As a proudly South African brand, SABC is committed to uplift our beautiful nation, and not only sponsors these annual awards, but also is the sole sponsor of the national and international Loerie Awards Travelling Exhibition. Taking the Travelling Exhibition to Namibia, presents an opportunity of additional exposure for the winners further into Africa. The SABC is committed to nurture, support and grow local creative excellence,” he adds.
The Loeries were launched in 1979 as a mechanism to promote television advertising, but today the awards encompass all aspects of brand communication including architecture and design.
"We are extremely proud to be able to host the Loeries Exhibition on behalf of Namibia. We hosted it for the first time last year and had an excellent turn out with very positive feedback," says Mark Bongers, Managing Director: DV8 Saatchi & Saatchi.
“As a showcase of South African creative excellence, The Loerie Travelling Exhibition affords professionals in the Namibian industry, students and the public in general to get a broader view of work created within the regional context,” Bongers adds.
The Travelling Exhibition will be moving around South Africa exhibiting at several educational institutions, corporate headquarters, the Aardklop Festival, and even going as far as New York.
The final deadline for entries is 16 May 2008.
