Air Namibia faces flight disruptions after Oasis Hong Kong liquidation PDF Print
Written by Staff Reporters

Air Namibia said last week that it may experience flight disruptions following the liquidation of Oasis Airlines of Hong Kong, which had leased the national carrier a Boeing 747.
Air Namibia's public relations officer, Zandra Groenveld said the airline had leased the plane from Oasis because one of its leased A340 aircrafts was undergoing maintenance.
“The situation has arisen due to circumstances beyond Air Namibia's control,” Groenveld said. “Naturally, our legal teams are engaged in legal consultations to determine and advice the Air Namibia on the best manner to protect Air Namibia interests. Notwithstanding legal processes, Air Namibia undertaken to ensure that there will be no schedule disruptions and operations will continue as normal.”
