Even
annual reports command awards and when it is a bank's then so much more. Living
up to its reputation, FNB Namibia again prepared the best annual report by a
company outside South Africa.
Advocate
Vekuii Rukoro, Group CEO of FNB, said the group received the award for the
innovative, creative and excellent communication standards applied in its
annual report. The Annual Report Awards pay tribute to companies for excellence
in preparing their annual reports. Present at the announcement was (from left)
the bank's Chief Executive Officer, Leonard Haynes, Adv. Rukoro and Gideon
Cornelissen, the Chief Financial Officer. The Annual Report Awards are hosted
jointly by the Southern Africa Institute of Chartered Secretaries and
Administrators (ICSA), and the Johannesburg Securities Exchange (JSE). When
announcing their award earlier this week, Rukoro said "[the award] is
significant for the FNB Namibia Group of companies because it reconfirmed that
the FNB Namibia Holdings family achieved the required objectives to articulate
and communicate excellently to all their stakeholders, and by the same token,
increasing confidence in the FNB Namibia Group."
