More and more parastatals and private sector companies are joining the fray of institutions that are providing assistance in tackling the flood situation in the north and north eastern regions. This week five companies handed over their donations to Deputy Prime Minister Libertina Amathila, who received them on behalf of the Emergency Management Unit. Holcim Namibia made a contribution of N$15000, Meatco contributed meat products to the tune of N$300,000, the Electricity Control Board donated a cheque of N$1,000, and Namibia Dairies donated 200,000 litres of fresh water while AgriBank donated a cheque of N $50000. “I will ensure that all these donations get to the affected people,” said Amathila (right, front row).
