Forget about unit trust, life insurance
policies and the likes. These will not bring you any wealth. What
could give real wealth, so says Peter Introna and Etienne Fourie, is
by participating in the London School of Investment trading
programme.
Fourie is the franchise holder for the
London School of Investment programme in Namibia. The LSI programme,
according to Introna, is quite simple: direct trading on the
Johannesburg Security Exchange (JSE).
No commission fees for stockbrokers and
individuals get to make their own decisions on which share to trade.
A person can trade with as little as N$1000.
“The saying that share trading is for
those qualified financial [people] is a misconception. Everybody can
trade on the JSE and it will give you extra cash,” he says.
Persons can open trading account with
several specified banks through which they can sell and buy shares.
The LSI works on a simple basis.
Interested persons purchase a comprehensive 1000-page study manual on
the basics of financial markets plus advanced strategies and tips on
investment. This costs N$10000. The manual will teach the individuals
the basics of investments and comes with a fully-functional share
investment and technical analysis software program.
Individuals can start trading with
imaginary money until they get a hang of it after which they can
start trading with real money. A weekly newsletter, together with the
handy software, helps individuals with advice on the best option of
the week such as which shares to buy and which to sell.
The reward is said to be astonishing.
Introna speaks of a Namibian gentleman who bought himself a sports
car last year, cash, with money from LSI.
LSI is described as a one-stop shop for
any person interested in taking charge of their own investments and
financial security and competes on an equal footing with the
professional stock market analyst.
“Since its introduction in 1991 over
12000 people have benefited from the programme which has won
endorsements from professionals in the field such as Merrill Lynch,
the world's largest stockbroker and investment house,” said the
company on its website.
