Welwitschia Hospital is owned by Walvis Bay Medipark, the owners of Ongwediva Medipark.
Under the agreement motor accident victims will receive treatment at the private hospital without the need to fill in forms. This is expected to speed up treatment process to patients. MVA Fund would in return bear all the costs as stipulated by the fund's legislation.
Welwitschia Hospital will invoice the MVA Fund monthly for payments and according to the Namibia Medical Aid Fund tariffs. The MVA Fund will first verify the invoicing and that the patients are indeed eligible to benefit from its funds. The agreement is for the period of 12 months after which it will be reviewed.
