Rössing Uranium appoints new Chairman PDF Print

Rössing Uranium’s board of directors has appointment Rehabeam Remuura Hoveka as the new chairman of the board with effect from 1 April 2008. The announcement was made at the board meeting in Swakopmund held last week.Hoveka is currently Rössing’s general manager: corporate services and has worked in various roles since he joined the company on 13 January 1986.

A few of his previous roles at Rössing include general manager: commercial services, manager: business services, manager: commercial services and superintendent: corporate services.
Hoveka retires from the company on 31 March and will then take up the new role as Chairman.
His experience includes the management of human resources, employee relations, procurement, corporate governance, public and community relations, media and government liaison.
Hoveka holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of the West of England and an MBA degree from Maastricht Business School in the Netherlands.
His appointment follows the retirement of Charles Kauraisa as the Chairman of the Board in August last year.
