eBizguide Namibia is the new guide for foreign
businesspeople. Its purpose is to give hindsight and provide facts to foreign
businesspeople on Namibia, before they set foot into the Land of the Brave. The soft cover book contains
over 300 pages and is highly informative. Its only short-coming is that the contents
date back to the time before 2006. Hence the book presents incorrect
information such as that the formation of the Regional Electricity Distributor
(RED) is still pending, while all the REDs are in operation.
 |
The book also speaks of a present electricity purchasing
agreement between Namibia and South Africa going to expire in 2006, while in
fact the agreement had already been renewed (in 2006) under new conditions.
Graphs, charts and other graphic indicators are only up to
2005. But since most African countries have outdated websites or no websites at
all, the eBuzguide Namibia does become the only source of reliable information
to foreign businesspeople.
While the facts may be outdated here and there, overall the
book does give a clear guidance on Namibia' business climate, the levels of
education, and government policy framework. It contains various interviews with
the Ministers of Trade and Industries, Health and Social Services, Education,
Mines and Energy. The forewords were by the former president of Namibia, Sam
Nujoma and by President Hifikepunye Pohamba.
Besides being a business guide the book does also guide
visitors on the best places to stay, the must-see attractions. These are all
complemented by high-quality pictures taken around the country.
E-Bizguides is also produced for other countries such as
Ghana, Sudan, Libya, Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Angola, Gambia, Cameroon,
Mozambique, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Syria. It is indeed the premier guidebook
for business globetrotters.
The book is priced at €24 or
about N$193.
