Bank Windhoek has said it would offer asset financing for solar and other alternative energy products at a special prime rate of less than 3% starting this week. “We, as Namibians, can do more than we think to control of our energy consumption by making use of alternative energy sources.

With Bank Windhoek’s special interest rate offer of prime less 3% on the financing of solar and alternative energy products, we make it more affordable for our clients. Together we will do better to conserve energy for the benefit of our environment,” said James Hill, managing director of Bank Windhoek.
According to Bank Windhoek, there is no limit to the amount for which one can apply for asset financing for these products. The minimum loan amount is N$10000. The period of the loan will range between 36 months and 60 months and will be determined by the specific assets to be financed, the loan amount and the repayment ability of the client.
Alternative energy source products currently on the market, and for which clients can apply at Bank Windhoek for this special interest rate include solar home system, solar heating system, solar geyser, solar water heater, solar water pump and generators.
