Agra in conjunction with Bank Windhoek has commenced the construction of a multipurpose conference facility at the Windhoek Show grounds, at the Agra Auction Ring. Max Holdt, Agra's Senior Manager: Properties, said the facility will consist of a conference facility with a kitchen, bar, additional toilet facilities and a storeroom.

He said the conference facility will seat 120 people in rows and 88 people in tables. Holdt said, “Construction has started and it is expected to be completed by mid May 2008. This new facility will be available for use by the Windhoek Show Society, stud breeders’ associations, farmers’ associations as well as for a host of related activities of the farming community. Our official banker, Bank Windhoek, will also use this facility as a training venue for their internal training efforts.”
According to Holdt, much thought has gone into the development of this facility. He said the multipurpose conference facility is a step in achieving the company's vision of becoming the destination of choice for farmers and livestock producers.
The construction of the multipurpose conference centre forms part of Agra's drive to capitalise on existing sites, Holdt said. “The investment is valued at N$2.3 million. Three tenders were received and Decora (Pty) Limited has been appointed as contractor for this development. The appointed architect is Eckhard Siedentopf Architectural Design,” he said.
