Well
known researcher and economist, Daniel Motinga, has joined First National Bank
as the group manager for market research and intelligence. His appointment was
effective as from the first day of this month.
“Motinga brings with him many years of relevant experience
in economic policy research to the FNB Group of companies,” the group CEO of
FNB Namibia Holdings, Adv. Vekuii Rukoro, said in a statement. Motinga commands
over 13 years of research experience and has published extensively over areas
ranging from telecommunication reforms to economic growth analysis. He holds a
Bachelor of Economist from the University of Namibia, a Honours B.Com from the
University of South Africa and an MA in economics from East Anglia, United
Kingdom.
Prior to his appointment, Motinga served as the director for
local think-tank, the Institute for Public Policy Research in Windhoek.
