Manus Kotze of Koes has qualified to take
part in the South African Pro-Am Grouping Shooting competition that will take
place in April 2008 in Pretoria after winning the Safari Den Shooting
Competition held from 5 to 7 September during the Stampriet Show.
His precision in shooting landed him a spot
in the Top 20 ranking in South Africa, which is a remarkable achievement. He
won a 22-250 calibre rifle valued at N$6500 sponsored by Agra, as well as

18 riflemen qualified to take part in the
South African grouping shooting championships. The overall winner for the day,
Kotze, was in a grouping using 9.68 mm rifles.
Safari Den added a lot of value to the
Stampriet Show with a very successful shooting competition which was presented
in a professional and safe manner.
As part of its contribution to the
Stampriet Show, Agra invited Dr Francois (Faffa) Malan of South Africa who
presented an afternoon demonstration by doing a practical analytical
post-mortem on parasites and illnesses in animals.
A qualified veterinarian, Dr Malan is well
known for his versatile and interesting presentations, and the audience was
fascinated by the information he shared in a highly practical and participatory
workshop under a tree.
Agra also hosted three auctions at the
Stampriet Show namely, a weaner auction as well as a bull auction and small
stock slaughter auction. All three auctions were highly successful, with all
animals on offer sold at good prices.
Agra hosted the first ever bull auction
during the show which can be described as very successful. Agra’s stall had
some excellent sales during the show which again shows Agra’s price
competitiveness coupled to a good service experience.
