The National Youth Council of Namibia, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, National Service, Sport and Culture, will host the 10th Youth Enterprise Expo from 25 to 27 September in Windhoek.
The event, which is sponsored by Namibia Breweries Ltd, will be held in the Zoo Park under the theme “Celebrating a Decade of Youth Entrepreneurship”.

In the handover of the NBL sponsorship, which includes 30 cases of soft drinks, equipment and t-shirts, NBL’s Corporate Communications Practitioner, Ms. Nomvula Kondombolo pointed out that there were various aspects which could hamper the youth from achieving their goals, and that the youth should be encouraged to act as masters of their own destiny and make wise choices – which includes refraining from abusing alcohol.
“Yes, the choices you make today will determine your future. Thus, the appeal for the youth to embrace Responsible Thinking, and refrain from underage drinking,” she said.
The first Youth Enterprise Expo took place in 1997 to afford young women and men in business an opportunity to display their products and services and learn about business development opportunities through education, networking and support. Young entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs between the ages of 16-35 are welcome to exhibit. This Expo is the culmination of Regional Expos held in 2007 in Caprivi, Erongo, Karas, Omaheke, Oshana and Otjozondjupa and it is envisaged that these regional Expos will expand to include all 13 regions in 2008.
