“Our range of notice deposit accounts is a low cost investment account offering great returns. These new notice deposit accounts aim to cater for clients wanting to invest their funds with the Bank for shorter periods of time and for those who wish to have their funds available on notice shorter than 32, 66 or 88 days,” said Bokkie Cloete, National Sales Manager at Bank Windhoek.
The development of the new notice deposit accounts was the result of in-depth research into the needs of Bank Windhoek clients. “In the past, some clients requested the Bank for early redemptions on their deposit accounts. This led to additional costs for clients as they are charged an early redemption fee. By providing clients with alternative deposit accounts, we are in a position to better cater for the different needs of our diverse client base,” added Bokkie Cloete.
The minimum balance on these new notice deposit accounts is N$500 and there is no maximum deposit amount applicable. No fees will be charged on these accounts with the exception of an early withdrawal penalty of 25% on the interest for the remaining notice period.
Clients will be allowed to make multiple deposits during the term of the investment if notice has not been given for the full amount of the Notice Deposit. Once the notice is given for the full amount, no new deposits will be accepted on the same account. If notice is given on part of the deposit, then the client can still make deposits on this account after the notice was given.
For clients who prefer to invest their money for longer periods of time, the traditional 32, 66 and 88 days notice deposit accounts are still available.
