The Walvis Bay Corridor Group's HIV/AIDS Help Desk restarted operations through renewed support and funding by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). The desk is hosted within the WBCG office and is supported by WBCG members, through direct membership to the Desk. Currently the desk has 10 members namely Transworld Cargo, Unitrans, F.P du Toit Transport, Transnamib Holdings Ltd, Wesbank Transport, Manica Group Namibia, H&H Furniture Removals, Namport, Kuehne & Nagel and Etosha Transport. The desk was established on the request by WBCG member companies for support in addressing HIV/AIDS within the workplace, through workplace trainings and awareness workshops, distribution of information material and condoms, peer education and the implementation of an HIV/AIDS workplace programme.
