The latest assessment, which is published by the compilers (the CPC organization and its arm National Centres for Environmental Prediction (NCEP)/ National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA)), of weather graphs together with their latest view of the state of the Pacific Ocean, indicate that a La Nina event has evolved and is now present over large areas of the eastern Pacific.
