Do not believe analysts who claim the worst of the world’s financial crisis is over. It is not. The worst is yet to come. I get the impression those analytical reports that say we can now take a breather say so only because they don’t know the full extent of the damage. The only aspect where I more or less agree with them is in acknowledging the fact that the losses are so big, we’ll only know towards the end of the year really how much.

The Ohlthaver and List Group’s planned super dairy farm at the Hardap Irrigation Scheme will accommodate 1520 cows, according to new details released by the government.
The cows will be accommodated on 698.73 hectares of land and will be kept under-roof since reduced temperatures increase milk production by up to 10%. Cabinet last week granted the Ohlthaver and List Group
300 hectares of land bringing the total needed for the project to
698.73 hectares under a 99-year lease, Cabinet announced in a statement. The group will pay N$130 000 per annum to lease the land.

Eleven employees from diverse job levels and functional departments were, in the presence of Teopolina Mushelenga, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, rewarded with an educational trip to Sun City, South Africa, valued at N$220 000. Mwenyopaleka was introduced in 2004 and brought about the adoption of a new vision, mission and corporate value system for the group’s e3mployees, who today number 4 269.

LLD Diamonds, a cutting and processing unit of the Lev Leviev Group of Companies of Israel, has suspended 180 striking workers, Managing Director Kombadayedu Kapwanga has said.
Kapwanga said the workers went on strike on Thursday last week demanding changes in the company’s management structure.
