School uniforms for Good Hope orphans

The Christina Swart-Opperman Aids Orphan Foundation Trust together with the Windhoek Goreangab Operating Company (Wingoc) donated brand new school uniforms to the Good Hope Hostel, situated 80km South west from Rehoboth.
Samuel Cloete, manager of the hostel, said that they are assisting 82 orphans and vulnerable children of which 40 are boys and 42 are girls.
The hostel, which was established 10 years ago, has been assisted by the trust project since 2003.
Dr Christina Swart-Opperman, founder of the Christina Swart-Opperman Aids Orphan Foundation Trust, said that one of the goals of the trust is to involve business partners to increase impact and to enable the trust to continue with the assistance.
It is in line with this, that the trust joined hands with Wingoc in order to assist a project in Rehoboth. The partners decided on the Good Hope Hostel.
Dr Swart-Opperman said that the donated school uniforms - including trousers, skirts and blouses - to all these children was made so they can give more attention to their schoolwork and education.
The hostel provides a home to vulnerable children, many of whom are orphans, while the rest come from homes headed by single parents who cannot afford education, proper homes, food or clothing. The ages of the children currently accommodated at the hostel range from six to 17 years.
